Guru

Guru is not a “Band” in the sense that they ever intend to play together or even make another record- maybe, if they get “inspired” once again. Guru is a short side project for experiementing with some more acid sounding rock. They TOTALLY recognize that this genre isn’t the most popular these days. Those in Guru don’t like some of what they did themselves. But they hope the more “Anti-regular-music” types might appreciate it. Part's of Distortion Religion are influenced by the early 90’s Seattle type “discordant” sound, with a bit of other modern ideas thrown around. They wanted something different from the standard predictable popular music. “back to the basics” “no studio tricks and overdubs” and “very easy to play (mostly)” with a modern big loud sound….and a lot of raw aggression. This is what came out of the studio. The album is totally awesome and not one to be missed.

03 THE RED PILL

not anymore though.

Good song for sure!

If you like "Redsky", keep an eye out for "Let the Dead". Line up is Jason (redsky), Dan (redsky), Andrew (salt of earth), Tim (POA), and Marky (POA/Salt of Earth). Style is a mix between hardcore and metalcore. Myspace and Demos will be up by June or July.

Back on topic: GURU are just amazing....best music I've heard recently.....except for the incessant "burn it down" at the end of "@#@# the System" :P

Awesome stuff. The Red Pill is my new favorite song. Does anyone have the lyrics for these.

Hey 3Ddude, I really would recommend getting the full CD from this link, http://www.savefile.com/files/1971263rather then downloading from the glitch (the glitch version's are a lot quieter.)
The lyrics are included in the link I posted.

These guys are cool, I prefer them to Bounty of Dragons. Although, actually, a lot of these bands in Japan have all the same people inside them.

Paul said...

Yeah, they switch around for ultimate producing.
